AI Real-Time Translation System Developed by GAU Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and UAV Systems Application and Research Center Successfully Used at C-HOPE 2026
The AI Real-Time Translation & Transcription System, developed by the Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and UAV Systems Application and Research Center at GIRNE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, was successfully tested and used during the C-HOPE 2026 – International Congress on Holistic Development and Positive Education.
The congress was held between 7–9 May 2026 at the Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, hosted by Girne American University in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
As part of the event, the system developed by the Center was fully tested and used online on 7 May 2026. On 8 May 2026, during one of the workshop sessions, 43 participants simultaneously used the online real-time translation system, including both live text translation and audio-based translation support.
This successful implementation demonstrated that the software is no longer only a research or prototype-stage platform. It has now entered the operational use phase and proved its capability to support real academic events, multilingual communication, and live educational environments.
The system enabled participants to follow the workshop content more effectively by providing real-time translation access through connected devices such as laptops and mobile phones. This practical use case confirms the Center’s growing capacity to develop applied artificial intelligence solutions that can be deployed in real institutional and public environments.
This achievement also represents an important milestone for the Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and UAV Systems Application and Research Center, showing that the Center has entered a new phase of producing practical, scalable, and commercially valuable AI-based software products.
Under the leadership of Dr. Alireza Gholami, Director of the Center, the successful deployment of this system at C-HOPE 2026 reflects the Center’s mission to transform advanced research ideas into real, usable technologies that support education, communication, accessibility, and digital transformation.
The Center will continue developing and expanding this platform for use in universities, conferences, workshops, public events, training programs, and multilingual institutional environments.
